“Danser Ensemble…” presents – Antoine Danfa
The second Senegalese dancer we wish to introduce from our “Danser Ensemble…” project is Antoine Danfa 
This Wales/Senegal online collaboration is a SSA Go Digital partnership with Cie Fatou Cisse supported by British Council Wales. Here Antoine performs a short piece to the same solo music composed by N’famady Kouyate

Antoine Danfa: Dancer / Performer
Antoine began his training in traditional dance in 2008 in the Cie Bakalama, followed by an internship at Germaine Acogny’s L’école des Sables with the choreographer Jules Romain in 2009. He attended the National Arts School (ENA) in Dakar / Senegal, graduating with honours in 2014, after four years of professional training in dance, classical, modern and African jazz. He continued to train with Italian choreographer Lorenzetti in classical and ballroom dance, then with the group “Chicago Heritage Workshops”. In parallel with these years of training, he became a dancer in the company Bakalama and traveled to China for a performance at the international horticultural exhibition, then at the “Nomad Universe” festival in Saudi Arabia. He also participated in the African film festival of Khouribga with the traditional company Bakalama in Morocco. Antoine Danfa collaborates with several contemporary dance companies in Dakar, such as the choreographer Jean Tamba of Cie 5eme Dimension and danced the piece “Boujouman” at the MASA African Arts Market 2020 in Côte d’Ivoire , and will perform in the creation “Performance D” by Cie Fatou Cisse which will be performed at the Choreographic Development Center “L’hangeur” in France. Antoine undertakes workshops with Andreya Ouamba, as well as at the Germaine Acogny’s L’école des Sables, and will dance the Boléro with Cie Maurice Bejart touring through Dakar for a collaboration with dancers from Senegal and the Grand Théâtre de Dakar. In collaboration with other artists, Antoine creates pieces and participates in events that leads to tours and performances in several countries. He is also preparing his next solo piece titled ’Rebondi’.

Danseur/Interprete
Antoine démarre en 2008 sa formation au danse traditionnelle dans la Cie Bakalama, puis il effectue un stage à l’école des sables de Germaine Acogny avec le chorégraphe jules Romain en 2009 .
Il rentrera à l’école nationale des arts(ENA) de Dakar/Sénégal en sort diplômé avec mention en 2014, après avoir acquis 4 ans de formation professionnelle sur les danses, classique , jazz Moderne et Africaine.
Il continuera chez Lorenzetti chorégraphe Italienne à suivre des ateliers de classique et de danse de salon, puis avec le groupe « héritage workshops de Chicago »
En parallèle à ces années de formation, il devient interprète danseur dans la compagnie Bakalama et voyage te , pour une performance à l’exposition internationale d’horticulture en Chine, puis au festival <<Nomad Univers >> en Arabie Saoudite. Il ira participer au festival du cinéma africain de Khouribga avec le compagnie traditionelle Bakalama au Maroc.
Antoine Danfa collabore avec plusieurs compagnies de danse contemporaine à Dakar, tel que le choréographe Jean Tamba de la Cie 5eme Dimension et danseea, dance la pièce <<Boujouman >> qui jouera au Marché des arts Africain le MASA 2020, en Côte d’Ivoire, et sera interprète dans la création <<Performance D>> de la Cie Fatou Cisse qui jouera au Centre de développement Choréographique << L’échangeur>> en France.
Antoine Danfa suivra des ateliers de composition avec Andreya Ouamba, ainsi qu’à l’école des sables de Germaine Acogny, et dansera le Boléro avec la Cie de Maurice Bejart de passage à Dakar, pour une collaboration avec des danseurs du Sénégal et le grand théâtre de Dakar.
En collaboration avec quelques artistes, ils créeront leurs structures et participeront à plusieurs évènements les amenant à voyager dans plusieurs pays.
Il prépare également son prochain solo Intitulé ‘’Rebondi’’.
