Dancers in Wales and Senegal in two studios 2
So far we have run five 4hr online workshop sessions involving seven dancers in all (4 in Wales, 3 in Senegal) during September and October 2021. Work started with sharing and discussing each other’s contemporary dance styles and backgrounds and engaging in some improvisation using a track N’famady Kouyaté composed as a starting point to begin experimenting and collaborating together.  The sessions moved on to different exercises and co-creation using Zoom as a tool to connect across continents.  Filming for the final piece reflecting theses encounters will begin on October 20th.   Watch this space 👀 for updates!
