Mohamed Sangare (Momo) grew up in the Ivory Coast working the land with his grandmother. They grew many different types of vegetables for food and Momo has a natural understanding of caring for plants. He likes working with his hands and started playing djembe when he was very young in the Ivory Coast, learning by watching the master drummers in his village. Momo became a professional master drummer and also repairs drums too. Momo loves music and hears music in the sounds of the everyday world. His ambition is for the world to hear the beautiful traditional music from his country which is always in his heart.
