GLOBAL GROOVES INFO :

Venue: Cathays Bingo Hall, 36-38 Cathays Terrace,  CF24 4HX

‘GLOBAL GROOVES’ is part of Cardiff MADE’s 2022 Live Arts Programme funded through the Arts Council of Wales, with a specific aim to reflect and celebrate the international perspective of communities living together in Cardiff, through creativity, music and food.

The acts for this evening aim to create a cross pollination of musical traditions and audiences, introducing multiple styles of music via cultural fusion within a social scene.

This gig is the second partnership event between the Oasis charity and Cardiff MADE to encourage inclusivity and access to new audiences through a celebration of performance, placing Cardiff’s identity within a Global perspective.

The Successors of the Mandigue trio are thrilled to be playing at this event along with Gitân, the elegant Welsh / Indian musical fusion of Stacey Blythe and Rajesh, support from (Andrew Ogun, Aisha  Kigs, and Mirari More) acts who have developed musical collaborations through the Affricerdd programme, supported by Ty Cerdd.  Setting the scene and keeping the vibe going between acts will be DJ George Ikamba.

And there’ll be tasty global cuisine and local ales to fuel the crowd.

Suitable for ages 12 and upwards accompanied by an adult.
