Woop! Our second dedicated festival programme is on! Building on last year’s success – platforming and celebrating the richness of diversity in Wales, we will again be showcasing African artists based in Wales and inviting guest artists from UK, Europe, and Africa for this year’s events. The festival will include Afro-Welsh fusions and performances, and promote the year-round work of African community groups. This year’s festival will be across three sites – Bluestone Brewing Co (Cilgwyn), Dathliad Cymru-Affrica Day at Butetown Carnival (Cardiff Bay), and Neuadd Ogwen (Bethesda).
In the lead up to, and following the festival, we will be running a community engagement programme with a series of workshops (including African dance and drumming/percussion).
